Regular Minutes
5-20-02
Page 12
Mayor Rinker read the Resolution of Appreciation to Dorothy. He said there will be a party here
next Thursday, May 30 from 3-6 p.m.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None Motion Carried
Resolution Adopted
Executive Session for Real Estate & Personnel Matters
Council President Buckholtz requested a motion to recess into Executive Session to discuss
personnel and real estate matters.
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Ilacqua, made a motion to recess into Executive Session to discuss
personnel and real estate matters.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None Motion Carried
Council President Buckholtz told members of the audience that Council will be in Executive
Session for a little while and when we come out we really have no other business to conduct.
After Executive Session, we will adjourn the Council meeting, but you are welcome to stay.
A lady in the audience said we were all handed out notices on our mailboxes to be here tonight at
8 p.m. to discuss where the drive was going to be located; that was supposed to be the topic of
conversation for tonight's meeting--that there would be about 3 scenarios for Hickory Hill
discussed.
Council President Buckholtz and Mayor Rinker said that will not be until June and apologized
for any misunderstanding.
Mayor Rinker explained that Council itself would be looking, because there are some issues that
arised as to whether or not there will be any land acquisition. That element will be a subject of
discussion in the Executive Session. Subsequently, before this issue is put to a vote, there will be
at least one more Caucus and another meeting of Council. Whether there will be any special
meetings, is within the purview of Council.
Council President Buckholtz asked the lady in the audience for here name.
She said it is Karen Major.
Council President Buckholtz apologized for the way that came out [was stated] at Caucus. That
is what we are going into Executive Session for. He never meant for that to be interpreted to the
public. He was excited to talk about some new possibilities. He asked Mrs. Roman the date of
the next Council Caucus.
