Regular Council Meeting <br />6-17-02 <br />Page 27 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 2002-23, entitled; "An emergency ordinance authorizing an <br />agreement with Metlife Insurance Company as and for an employee dental program." <br />Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Dr. Parker, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an <br />ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Dr. Parker, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to enaet Ordinance No. 2002-23. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there were any comments. <br />Council President Buckholtz said this is the new dental program that seems to be better than the one <br />we have. We are going with it effective July lst <br />There were no other comments. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />First Readinst of Ordinance No. 2002-24, entitled; "An emergency ordinance authorizing an <br />agreement with Plastall Service Company, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $44,787.00 as and <br />for the sandblasting and painting of Parkview Pool." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and <br />Council as a Whole. <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an <br />ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2002-24. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked Mr. Thomas to confirm that this will not happen when there is <br />water in the pool-and they will not drain the pool until the end of the year. <br />Mr. Thomas said that is correct. <br />Dr. Parker questioned the time frame in which they have to commence-or get the job done-30 <br />days? <br />27
