Regular Council Meeting <br />6-17-02 <br />Page 29 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Thermal Units - Finley Fire Equipment - not to exceed $30,000 <br />Chief Mohr explained that this purchase is through State Cooperative Bidding for approximately <br />$28,000. This was a budgeted item. With the money we are saving from the SCBA's, we could <br />purchase 2 units. (We aren't sure if there will be shipping costs, etc.) <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring three <br />readings. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to authorize the purchase of 2 thermal units <br />from Finley Fire Equipment in an amount not to exceed $30,000. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there were any further comments. <br />Mrs. Cinco said Safety & Service discussed and approved this item in March. <br />Dr. Parker said he is in favor of it but wants to be clear that it is a budgeted item. <br />Mr. Brett confirmed that yes; it is. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />Renovation of the Siren - not to exceed $3,000 - All Motors (Electric Control & Motor Repair) <br />Dr. Parker, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to authorize the renovation of the fire siren in an <br />amount not to exceed $3,000 by All Motors. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />Cedar Point Trip - not to exceed $6,000 <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion to authorize an expenditure in an amount not to <br />exceed $6,000 to Cedar Point for admission. <br />Council President Buckholtz said we will be reimbursed for this. <br />Mr. Thomas confirmed--yes; we will also make some profit. <br />29
