Regular Council Meeting 7-15-02 Page 12 Council President Buckholtz said, I read it--I just want you to know--it didn't go to everybody--I mean the application. Mr. Marquardt said, they have been submitted without authorization. Mr. Brett replied, no; the application was submitted--it was pointed out in the application that the enabling legislation would not be acted on until this evening at the earliest. Mrs. Cinco said, Mr. Buckholtz, I can't really keep quiet anymore. (I would please like this for the minutes that): I know that most of us on Council have seen a concept plan for that trailway at least 5 different public meetings. I, myself, have from 1996 when we had that power point presentation to all of Mayfield Village up at the High School. I know that that little board, which is back there [community room conference room] was presented at that time. Mr. Marquardt said no, it wasn't. Mrs. Cinco said yes it was. And even Citizen's Advisory saw it at that time. Citizen's Advisory saw it with the road business. There has to be at least 5-6 times that I, personally, have seen it at a meeting. Mr. Marquardt said, it has never been discussed in Council, at a Caucus Session or at a meeting. It has never been discussed at a Caucus or at a Regular Meeting. This is the Council that is supposed to be making the decisions, ultimately, and not discussing this or putting forward the arguments (pros and cons) as to whether we ought to move forward and we continue to move forward on it. We're out of order. Council President Buckholtz replied, okay; point made. Council President Buckholtz asked, any further comments? There were none. Council President Buckholtz requested a roll call. Roll Call: AYES: Mr. Buckholtz, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Marrie, Mrs. Mills, Dr. Parker NAYS: Mr. Ilacqua, Mr. Marquardt Motion Carried Ordinance Enacted
