Regular Council Meeting <br />8-19-02 <br />Page 10 <br />? <br />beyond our control and anything that is speced can only go as far as people can realistically <br />predict until you uncover it. <br />Council President Buckholtz said that is exactly what URS said and that's what the utility <br />companies come back to them and say this isn't way the plan had it. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there were any other comments. <br />There were none. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />• A motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of $7,000 to Squire, Sanders & <br />Dempsey for underwriting and legal expenses for the sale of $4,500,000.00 of bond <br />anticipation notes <br />Dr. Parker, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an <br />ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Dr. Parker, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of <br />$7,000 to Squire, Sanders & Dempsey for underwriting and legal expenses for the sale of <br />$4,500,000.00 of bond anticipation notes. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked, any discussion? <br />Mr. Brett said this is lower--I put $7,000 on lasf week before I talked to Ernie Demanelis this <br />afternoon. He was on vacation last week. We conferred a little bit and I dropped off some <br />documents. He said it will actually be under $5,000 and it will probably come in less than last <br />year. <br />Mayor Rinker asked, generally, what are we doing? <br />Mr. Brett said this is a rollover with pay down $250,000 of the $4,750,000 in bond anticipation <br />notes that we issued first to cover the expenditures associated with purchase of Parkview Golf <br />Course and we've subsequently added the Wetlands preservation, the extension of North <br />Commons Boulevard from Parkview Drive to the swimming pool and one payment of the <br />, <br />-- Church. So as we've added those we've paid down on the initia14.6 million that was allocated <br />for the golf course. When we added those other items, we probably added $1.5 million to the
