. ~ <br />t <br />--- .~ <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />10-21-02 <br />Page 2 ' <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />Special Council Meeting -October 15, 2002 -Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a <br />motion to approve the minutes. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />COMMENTS FROM MAYOR RINKER <br />Mayor Rinker said we thought we'd switch the rotation tonight because we have some business <br />to take care of first. <br />COMMENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT' BUCKHOLT~ <br />Council President Buckholtz said at this point we have a vacant Council seat and we'd like to <br />vote on the Council's choice for that appointment. Do I have a motion? <br />Mrs. Mills said I have a motion to appoint Mr. Riter to the Council seat vacated by Mr. Carmen <br />Ilacqua. Mr. Marne seconded the motion. <br />Council President Buckholtz clarified, that would be William Riter for Council At Large to <br />replace Carmen Ilacqua. Do we have any discussion at this point? <br />There were no comments. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Appointment Confirmed <br />Council President Buckholtz said I think it would be appropriate for a swearing in at this point so <br />I will turn it back over to the Mayor. <br />Mayor Rinker asked Is Mr. Riter in the audience? Mayor Rinker administered the oath of office <br />to Mr. Riter as a member of Council. <br />Council President Buckholtz said I was just going to explain that we are going to allow Mr. Riter <br />to take his place up here with us as an official Councilman. For those of you who don't know <br />Bill Riter, he has been attending just about every meeting and has made himself aware of most of <br />the issues that we're involved with at this point. I would also like to thank, and I am sure the <br />Mayor would, we had an unbelievable turnout. Several of the people are in the audience, which I <br />
