1

Regular Council Meeting
10-21-02
Page 21
Mr. Marquardt made a motion to authorize the renewal of a Special Use Permit for Ken's Auto, 744
S.O.M. Center Road, fora 2-year period (expires 11-15-02)
Mrs. Mills said before we make a second on that, Bernie, on Ken's Auto Body are they as agreed--as
far as their Special Use Permit? I mean, you don't have any problems with the way they conduct
business, do you?
Mr. Samac replied no, I don't. Their application is coming. It will be before Council next month.
Maybe if you have one second-I did pass out a little memo concerning our Special Use Permits. In
that it becomes a hassle, pretty much, of really tracking these things in the proper manner and, at
times, some were given for 2 years; some were 3. We tried to get on a schedule of 2 years for all of
them. What I was proposing to do was perhaps at our November or December meeting, let's revisit
all our outstanding Special Use Permits, put them on an even-year schedule for renewal and, a few
of them that are going to be hanging out there will have a 3-year period for renewal this first time but
thereafter they will all expire December 31St of the even-numbered years. It will make our
bookkeeping a whole lot easier and we can visit a115, 6 or 7 Special Use Permits that we have out
there one time and not miss them for a year or so as we have in the past.
Council President Buckholtz said we will put that at Caucus and see how that would [line up] and
talk to all the permit holders and see how that will line up.
Mrs. Mills said I will make a second to that motion.
Council President Bucklioltz asked, any other discussion?
There were no comments.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Special Use Permit Authorized
• A motion to authorize an expenditure not to exceed $3,000 to Ballash Press for the
Winter Parks & Recreation Brochure
Mr. Riter, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion to authorize an expenditure not to exceed $3,000
to Ballash Press for the Winter Parks & Recreation Brochure.
Council President Buckholtz asked, any discussion?
There were no comments.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Expenditure Authorized
~(
,~.~
