Regular Council Meeting
12-16-02
Page 23
Lt. Dearden said no. I've had our officers watch the lot and they say they have never even seen a
line of cars. What we did say is that we would maintain observation of the operation and that if
there appears to be a tie-up caused by vehicles exiting the car wash and wanting to go east on
Wilson Mills that Mr. Goldberg was already told that we would restrict left-turns out of there
between certain hours. He also was involved in meetings with Bernie and I and said that he
would bring in an attendant if volume using the car wash amounted to anything that may
possibly impede traffic out onto Wilson Mills.
Mayor Rinker said and I'd just just very basic monitoring records as well. Just so we can
inventory this.
Dr. Parker said my recollection with an attendant was that was more of an issue that-I didn't
think that the attendant was necessarily going to direct traffic or anything like that.
Several people said no, no.
Lt. Dearden said he was to monitor traffic coming in. If traffic going in backed up the point
where they were stopped out on Wilson Mills, then they were going to temporarily shut down so
that no more vehicles would get in line bottling up traffic in the curb lane on Wilson Mills.
Mayor Rinker reminded everyone that Santa [the ride on the Fire Truck] is in reverse order. He
is going backwards.
Several more people extended wishes for happy holidays.
CLOSING COMMENTS
There were no additional comments.
ADJOURNMENT
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Biter, made a motion to adjourn.
The meeting adjourned 9' S
WILLIAM BUCKHOLTZ, COUNCI~ENT
BRUCE G.
DONNA J. RO ,CLERK OF COUNCIL
Y
