Regular Council Meeting
1-27-03
Page 8
F
Mrs. Cinco said yes; we have to approve it first. Thank you. We also discussed and passed onto
- Finance with the Police Department the channel recorder and approval-and that's on the agenda
? tonight also. The new ambulance is on the agenda tonight. It was approved and recommended
by Safety & Service and also the false alarm ordinance so Dave will give us an update on that.
Council President Buckholtz asked will we conrinue to heaz from Dr. Parker [for Finance
committee]? After he was told Mrs. Mills, Council President Buckholtz said, Donna, note that
we will be having reports from Mrs. Mills.
Finance Committee - Mrs. Mills said we have an authorization for a motion not to exceed $3,500
to Ballash Press for the Spring 2003 issue of the Voice of the Village. That was recommended.
Another motion, not to exceed $2,500 [$25,000] to Progressive for the 2003 memberships to
Progressive Fitness Center and that was recommended for approval. Amotion to authorize an
expenditure in the amount of $19,514 to Stephen Campbell and Associates for one DI-Reliant
24-channel recorder and that was recommended for approval.
Dr. Parker said Patsy; I have one comment on that which we did ask the Chief to get us
information regarding maintenance and the first year's maintenance is-included but thereafter,
the next yeaz will be approximately $2,300 with no greater than a 10% increase in successive
. years so that's what we are looking at with maintenance for that, too. So, just wanted to add that.
Thank you.
?
?
? Mrs. LaRiche Goldstein in the audience - said the Progressive payment it says on the paper here
? is $25,000; not $2,500.
Mrs. Mills asked, did I say $2,500; I meant $25,000.
Mrs. LaRiche Goldstein, asked, are we allowed to ask, is that supplementing other memberships? -
Mr. Riter said that is completely reimbursed to the Village.
Mrs. Mills said that's what residents pay for our memberships at Progressive; we pay Mayfield
and they have to pay Progressive. It's a wash.
Several people said it's a"pass through."
Mrs. Mills said we have a schedule (if you would like to see this schedule) we had 140
subscriptions for the Fitness Center for 6 months; 15 for a year and 16 student passes for 3
months. So it came to a total of $22,490 so limiting the amount to $25,000 will be pretty much
in line but it's a complete wash out. -
Mrs. LaRiche Goldstein said thank you.
Mrs. Mills said the next thing we had a motion to authorize an expenditure not to exceed $3,500
' to Ballash Press for the Spring/Summer Parks & Recreation brochure and we recommend that
` that get approval. Bill, do you want to explain the rest of that?
