Regular Council Meeting <br />3-17-03 <br />Page 2 <br />COMIVIENTS FROlVI MAYOR RINKER <br />Mayor Rinker said you will all notice our "high tech rented skirts" (around the Council dais.) <br />I'll take the feedback. We're trying to hide wires and at least improve with the system we have. <br />we're going to try a couple of things that are the "low rent" form. They come in what black- <br />white-what? (Donna)? <br />Mrs. Roman said about 4 different colors I think. [Note: They come in many, many colors.] <br />Mayor Rinker said the wiring still is something to be desired. The other might be getting new <br />microphones. I think we'd all agree to that. Again, if you like the skirts, you don't like the <br />skirts, let Donna know. <br />COMIVIENTS°FROlVI.COiJNCIL PRESIDEN.T BUCKHOLTZ <br />Council President Buckholtz said I have no comments at this time. (Other than to say the <br />President is speaking now and we don't know what he is saying but I hope that things work out <br />in the best possible way in light of some difficult situations.) <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS <br />Service - Mr. Metzung said regarding S.O.M. Center Road: <br />e The Gas Company is continuing their work. They are about 3-4 weeks away from <br />completing their work. <br />• C.E.I. will begin working the southern part of the project beginning any day now. <br />Building <br />• Mr. Samac said the A1terCare facility will probably be opening up in roughly a month; 6 <br />weeks at the latest. They are nearing completion on the inside. They have a lot of State <br />requirements to fulfill and inspections from the boards regulated by the State. <br />• We had a presentation by OMNI Realty and Panzica regarding a hotel, office and <br />restaurant facility on Beta Drive. They will be proceeding with that through Board of <br />Appeals and Planning and Zoning Commission. We will have a letter from Joe Diemert <br />regarding requests from the Planning Commission concerning the special use permit for <br />that facility; how we'd be able handle that matter-not being a directly pertnitted use. <br />• We will be proceeding with the proposal from Skoda, Minotti and Company regarding <br />their office addition to their facility on Beta Drive. Their particulars will probably be <br />going to our next Board of Appeals' meeting in April. <br />LeEal - Ms. Calta said Joe has asked me to advise Council on the first agenda item which <br />pertains to the: . <br />• Proposed U-Store-It: that no action should be taken on this agenda item and request that <br />a motion be made to amend the agenda to amend it.
