Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, February 20, 2017 <br />Page 5 <br /> <br /> <br />everyone is not waiting through our meeting as we want to really concentrate on Bill and <br />celebrate him. <br />Committee Reports: <br />Activities Committee - Mr. Marrie - I filled in for Steve Jerome. We met on the 7tl'. Mary <br />Singer was elected as Chair again this year. The Committee reviewed some ininor problems they <br />had with the Tree Lighting as regards to serving the food and hot chocolate for the children. <br />Mother's Day Pancake Breakfast was discussed. It is on May 14u. Memorial Day Service will <br />be May 28t1i. Mary and Merv and the group could use help on the 27t" placing flags at the <br />Cemetery. Show up between 8:30 and 9:00. Your help would be appreciated. Cruise Night was <br />discussed. It is on June l0t''. It will be held in the center of town as it has been in the past. <br />Independence Day Celebration - they are working on the food and food trucks. It looks like it <br />will be down at Progressive agairi this year. The Committee also discussed The Grove schedule. <br />Shane has already covered that. The next meeting is May 7t". Thank you. <br />Catazen's Advisory Commattee - 10'Irs. 10'Ialls - Our next ineeting will be this coming Monday <br />the 27?' at 7:00 p.m. here in this room. <br />Finance Committee - Nfr. Saponaro - We met both on the 6th for Caucus and this evening. <br />There are 18 items. All are going to be on the Council agenda to be discussed. <br />Safety and Service - Mr. Marrie - We met on.the 6th. We discussed going out to bid for trash <br />and recycling. We discussed requests by the Fire Department for lifts to handle patients. That's <br />generally how they experience serious back probleins. This contract will take care of the <br />maintenance 'of the equipment. The other request was the maintenance of the cardiac monitors <br />and CPR machines. These items axe on the agenda this evening. Thank you. <br />OLD.BUSIN?SS ,_ <br />Third Reading of Ordinance No. 2016-35, entitled, "An Emergency Ordinance <br />authorizing an Independent Contractor Agreement with Garry Regan for consulting on <br />progralmning and activities at The Grove, The Gazebo, and Reserve Hall." Introduced <br />by Mayor Bodnar and Council as a Whole. (First Reading - 12/19/16; Second Reading - <br />1/23/17) (Administration) <br /> <br />Mr. Marrie; seconded by Mr. Williams, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2016-35. <br />Council President Saponaro asked, discussion? <br />There were no comments. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES <br />NAYS <br />-Marrie, Mills, <br />Saponaro, Williams <br />Jerome, Marquardt <br />Parker <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted
