1VIINUTES OF THE REGiJLAR MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />, Mayfield Village Civic Hall <br />Monday, April 17, 2017 - 8:00 p.m. <br />The Council of Mayfield Village met in Regular Session on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Mayfield <br />Village Civic Hall. Council President Saponaro called the ineeting to order at 8:00 p.m. . - <br />ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Jerome, Mr. Marquardt, Mr. Marrie, Dr. Parker <br />and Mr. Saponaro <br />Also Present: Mayor Bodnar, IVIr. Wynne, Mr. Diemert, Mr. Cappello, <br />Chief Edelman, Mr. Marrelli, Mr. Metzung, <br />Assistant Fire Chief Girbino, Mr. McAvinew, <br />Ms. Wolgamuth and Mrs. Betsa <br />Absent: Mrs. Mills and Mr. Williams <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Council President Saponaro asked, if everyone can remain standing so that we can have a <br />moment of silence for the tragedy that happened yesterday and how far reaching it is for all of <br />us. Just remember those who were lost. <br />OPEN 'PORTION . • . <br />- For Public Comment (5-minute limit irnposed by Chair) <br />Report from Bob Ross from Mayfield School District (head of the CEVEC program) <br />Bob Ross <br />First of a11, I just wanted to thank Council and Mayor Bodnar for allowing us some time on the <br />agenda tonight to give you an update on a program that is truly innovative. I teach a couple of classes <br />at Cleveland Sta.te part-time, people that are becoming special education teachers. When I tell them <br />that we have a program where we are teaching students how to be independent and live <br />independently and are actually doing that in a house, people can't believe it. We are very excited <br />about the great outcomes that this program is offering our students. <br />With me is Jen Rose who is the teacher of the program. We will defuutely do our best here to abide <br />by the, we will go for 10 minutes if that's okay. It's hard to squeeze it in. <br />Council President Saponaro stated, that's fine. We understand.
