MINiJTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF COUNCIL Mayfield Village Civic Hall Monday, July 24, 20.17 - 8:00 p.m. The Council of 1Vlayfield Village met in Regular Session on Monday, July 24, 2017 at Mayfield Village Civic Hall. Couricil President Saponaro called the ineeting to order at 8:00 p.m. ROLL CALL: Present: Mr: Jerome, Mr. Marquardt, Mr. Marrie, Mrs. Mills, Dr. Parker, Mr. Williams and Mr. Saponaro Also Present: Mayor Bodnar, Mr. Wynne, Mr. Guicletti, Mr. Cappello, Chief Edelman, Mr. Marrelli,lVlr. Metzung, Assistant Chief Girbino, Mr. McAvinew, Ms. Wolgamuth and 1VIrs. Betsa Absent: None The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. OPEN PQRTIOlV - For Public Comment (57minute limit imposed by Chair) Rick Christian 510 SOM Center Road I was here at the last Caucus. It was brought up you want to spend $625,000 for two tennis courts arid a couple bocce courts. I don't know where you people get off. Mr. McAvinew said he took a survey. I don't know how many people he surveyed. I didn't get a survey in the mail. If he doesn't survey the whole Village, how are you supposed to know how many people want this? You've got tennis courts in Highland Heights. You've got tennis courts at the high school. You don't need tennis courts here. There's two bocce courts down on Mayfield Road. We don't need bocce courts here. I don't know how many people are going to use these thirigs once you spend a half a million dollars to purchase them. It's not going to be worth it. I don't want to see my tax money go for it. I have had a problem with my property since SOM was wideried. I can't get tlus Council to do anythirig about it. They come to me and they say, we'll dig a trench and if that doesn't work, you are on your own. Then I get a letter saying, go hire your own engineer because our engineer doesn't thinlc it's a problem. But I've got water on my property. It's a problem. This Council's got your head someplace. Council President Saponaro asked, anyone else?
