Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council
Monday, December 18, 2017
Page 21

Mr. Wynne stated, like I just mentioned with the previous legislation, we pass our budget
in March so until that takes place we have to put in place a temporary budget so we can
operate until the final budget is approved. This legislation sets that temporary budget as
well as levels for capital expenditures if we decide to approve projects to move forward
prior to the passing of the final budget.
Council President Saponaro asked, any other questions or discussion regarding this?
There was none.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Ordinance Enacted
• First Reading of Resolution No. 2017-13, entitled, "A Resolution requesting the
Cuyahoga County Fiscal Officer to adjust the amended official certificate of estimated
resources for 2017." Introduced by Mayor Bodnar and Council as a Whole. (Finance
Department)
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Jerome, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 2017-13.
Council President Saponaro asked, any discussion?
Mr. Wynne stated, this is an annual requirement at the end of the year to notify the County of
what our actual cash receipts were for the year.
Council President Saponaro stated, okay. Anything else regarding this? Discussion?
There was none.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Resolution Adopted
• First Reading of Resolution No. 2017-14, entitled, "A Resolution requesting the
Cuyahoga County Treasurer to advance from the proceeds of tax levies for the collection
year 2018." Introduced by Mayor Bodnar and Council as a Whole. (Finance
Department)
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Jerome, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 2017-14.
Council President Saponaro asked, discussion?
Mr. Wynne stated, this is an annual requirement with the County to let them know that as they
collect money for real estate bills that they send that money out on a monthly basis as they
receive it as opposed to waiting until the end of the six month collection period.
