MINIJT'ES OF THE RIEGiJLAR MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Mayfield Village Civic Hall -1Vlayfield Village Civic Center <br />Monday, September 17, 2018 -8:00 p.m. <br />The Council of Mayfield Village met in Regular Session on Monday, September 17, 2018; at <br />Mayfield Village Civic Hall. Council President Pro-Tem Williams called the meeting to order <br />at 8:00 p.m. <br />ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Marquardt, Mr. Meyers, Mrs. Mills, <br />Dr. Parker, Mr. Schutt and Mr. Williams <br />Also Present: Mayor Bodnar, Mr. Wynne, Mr. Coyne, <br />Sergeant Miller, Mr. Metzung, Mr. Marrelli, <br />Chief Carcioppolo, Mr. McAvinew, <br />Mr. Cappello, Ms. Wolgamuth and Mrs. Betsa <br />Absent: Mr. Saponaro <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Presentation by?Representatives of the Willoughby-Cleveland Elks Lodge #18 <br />Mr. Jon Felice stated, before I begin tonight I would like to thank the Mayor, members of <br />Council, the citizens and the Chief for allowing us to be here tonight. I would like to introduce <br />some people who are with me tonight. This is Brian Cook. He is referred to as the Esteemed <br />Lecturing Knight of our Lodge. This is Lindsey Stark, the Inner Guard of our Lodge and this is <br />Kirk Kokal who is the Past Exalted Ruler of our Lodge. I am just the Treasurer. And I'm fine <br />with that. <br />We are here tonight to make a presentation on behalf of our Lodge which was funded through <br />the Elks National Foundation. We apply for grants every year to give to our local communities. <br />We have one grant. It's called the Gratitude Grant and we have divided it up four ways for the <br />last 10 or 15 years. We try to reach out to two different fire departments and two different police <br />departments in our jurisdiction. We are starting to travel farther away from the Willoughby <br />Lodge because we have reached all of the departments. <br />I had the opportunity of calling Chief Carcioppolo. We talked to the Chief and he said that there <br />was some things needed. We are here to present $500 to the Mayfield Village Fire Department to <br />use for exercise equipment because the Elks are committed to making sure that our First <br />Responders' health and welfare is taken into consideration as they perform their jobs within our <br />communities. <br />I would encourage everyone to check out our website which is the Willoughby-Cleveland Elks <br />Lodge and see what we do within our local communities with these different grants for the local <br />Fire and Police Departments.
