Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council
Monday, September 17, 2018
Page 2
2,000 Elks lodges are doing within their own communities. Not just for Police and Fire
Departments but for cerebral palsy research, mental retardation issues, homelessness issues. We
are very involved with the Veterans. One of our grants this year we applied for was for $2;000
to be given to homeless Veterans to give them warm clothing to battle the elements.
These are just some of the small things we do within our community. I would encourage anyone
that has some free time to research what we do within our community. Oddly enough, Mary
Betsa's husband is a member of our Lodge. I was taken by surprise when she came in and I did
not recognize her because she's always had her hair pulled back.
I think the Elks is a wonderful organization. Chief, it is our pleasure to present to you this check
for $500 on behalf of the Elks.
Chief Carcioppolo stated, I appreciate all you guys do for everyone. Thank you.
Council President Pro Tem Williams stated, thank you.
Mr. Felice continued; the last thing I want to say is these are pretty lofty titles that these people
have. On top of working their 45-50 hours a week at their regular jobs, they somehow find time
to devote 15-20 hours a month to what we do at the Elks. These are the guys and girls who are
doing the bread and butter work in our communities. Thank you all.
Council President Pro Tem Williams stated, thank you again.
ONSIDERATION.OF MINUTES :
Regular Council Meeting - August 20, 2018
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to approve the minutes of the Regular
Council Meeting of August 20, 2018 as written.
Council President Pro Tem Williams asked, discussion?
There was none.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carried
NAYS: None Minutes of August 20, 2018
Meeting Approved as Written
Special Counci9 Nieeting - Sentember 4, 2018
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to approve the minutes of the Special
Council Meeting of September 4, 2018 as written.
