Council President Saponaro called <br />the ineeting to order at 7:20 p.m. <br />ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Marquardt, Mr. Meyers, Mrs. Mills, <br />Mr. Saponaro, Mr. Schutt and Mr. Williams <br />Also Present: Mayor Bodnar, Mr. Coyne, Mr. Wynne, Mr. Cappello, <br />Chief Carcioppolo, Chief Edelman, Mr. Marrelli, <br />Mr. Metzung, Mr. McAvinew, Ms. Wolgamuth <br />and Mrs. Betsa <br />Absent: Dr. Paxker <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Resolution No. 2018-44, entitled, "An Emergency Resolution authorizing <br />Mayfield Village to accept the bid of Fabrizi Trucking & Paving Co., Inc. for <br />emergency pavement repair on Thornapple Drive in the amount of $55,449.50.", <br />Introduced by Mayor Bodnar (Engineer) <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to enact Resolution No. 2018-44. <br />Council President Saponaro asked, discussion? Mr. Cappello, can you explain on the record the <br />amount of the bid and any contingencies that might be included on this? <br />Mr. Cappello replied, in my September 27t" letter, I summarized the bidders. Fabrizi was the low <br />at $51,449.50. I recommended the contract be awarded to Fabrizi Trucking & Paving, Co. in the <br />amount of $55,449.50 which would include a$4,000 contingency for unseen conditions that may <br />exist once the pavement is removed. <br />Cowicil President Saponaro asked, does anyone have any questions regarding this? Do we know <br />what led to the watermain break? <br />Mr. Cappello replied, all indications would point to when Cleveland Water came out to isolate <br />the main for the project.
