Mayfield Village Civic Hall -1Vlayfield Village Civic Center Monday, October 1, 2018 - Immediately follodving C'aucus at 7:00 p.m. The Council of Mayfield Village met in Special Session on Monday, October 1, 2018; at Mayfield Village Civic Hall iirunediately following Caucus. Council President Saponaro called the ineeting to order at 7:20 p.m. ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Marquardt, Mr. Meyers, Mrs. Mills, Mr. Saponaro, Mr. Schutt and Mr. Williams Also Present: Mayor Bodnar, Mr. Coyne, Mr. Wynne, Mr. Cappello, Chief Carcioppolo, Chief Edelman, Mr. Marrelli, Mr. Metzung, Mr. McAvinew, Ms. Wolgamuth and Mrs. Betsa Absent: Dr. Paxker The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. Resolution No. 2018-44, entitled, "An Emergency Resolution authorizing Mayfield Village to accept the bid of Fabrizi Trucking & Paving Co., Inc. for emergency pavement repair on Thornapple Drive in the amount of $55,449.50.", Introduced by Mayor Bodnar (Engineer) Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to enact Resolution No. 2018-44. Council President Saponaro asked, discussion? Mr. Cappello, can you explain on the record the amount of the bid and any contingencies that might be included on this? Mr. Cappello replied, in my September 27t" letter, I summarized the bidders. Fabrizi was the low at $51,449.50. I recommended the contract be awarded to Fabrizi Trucking & Paving, Co. in the amount of $55,449.50 which would include a$4,000 contingency for unseen conditions that may exist once the pavement is removed. Cowicil President Saponaro asked, does anyone have any questions regarding this? Do we know what led to the watermain break?
