Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council 'Monday, October 15, 2018
Page 9

Chief Carcioppolo replied, we can't keep him on full-time past his retirement date. If he was
willing to come back on a part-time basis, that's something that I would have to explore with the
Mayor and see, but the individuals that are going to Ue taking the exanlination will be certified to
the same level of certification required by the State to complete the inspection. It would be nice
to have them stay and help train the person, but that will be a decision that would have to be
made.
Mr. Meyers asked, so we would have to address that then?
Chief Carcioppolo replied, right.
Council President Saponaro asked, but are you saying they are trained already so they could hit
the floor running?
Chief Carcioppolo replied, they could, but it's haz•d to pass the torch because that person coming
from the outside has no knowledge of Mayfield Village. To go out and introduce them to all of
the appropriate people responsible for the properties would be nice. Again, sometimes you can't
choose how the cookies crumble.
Council President Saponaro stated, well said. Anything else; Mr. Meyers?
Mr. Meyers replied, thank you.
Council President Saponaro asked, anything else?
There were no further comments.
ROLL CALL: AYES
NAYS:
All
None
Motion Carried
Expenditure Approved
Motion to authorize expenditure in the amount of $8,000 to Green Vision Materials
for grinding of wood waste.
