(Service Department) Council President Saponaro asked, discussion? Mr. Wynne stated, I spoke to our representative at NOPEC last week regarding tlus. They have all intentions, subject to approval by the General Assembly, of renewing the grant program again next year, which means we would get 100% reimbursement for this expense. Council President Saponaro stated; very good. Keep us posted. Anything else? There was no further discussion. (Service Department) Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to authorize the purchase of 2,500 tons of road salt from Cargill, Inc. at a cost of $64.76 a ton. (Service Department) Council President Saponaro asked, any discussion? Let's reiterate this went up from approximately $30 a ton last year to $64.76 but if we sign up for this program, we have to take the salt. Mr. Metzung stated, we passed a resolution saying we will be part of the purchase. When we made that commitment, we joined the club. Council President Saponaro stated, okay. Just wanted to be clear. Sometimes we make out on it and sometimes we don't. Mr. Metzung stated, correct. Good last year. This year, not so much. Council President Saponaro stated, but not the highest it's been.
