There are some papers to be signed. <br />Council President Saponaro stated, all of the papers are along the back. We are going to take <br />about 5 minutes so you can all sign and turn those back in. If anyone wants coffee there are <br />some refreshments and pastries in the back. Thank you. <br />Council took a break for refreshments at 7:10 p.m. <br />Council reconvened at 7:20 p.m. <br />Comments From Council President Saponaro <br />The first thing I am going to do is turn the floor to Dr. Parker. I know he wanted to address <br />Council. He was not able to be here at our workshop due to an unforturiate death in his family <br />which we wish you condolences and sympathies. Dr. Parker? <br />Dr. Parker stated, thank you very much. I do apologize for not being there. As you know, I did <br />want to discuss the changes in the Council meeting time. I discussed this with a number of <br />Council people at this point. <br />As you know, the current change in the Council meeting time on the third Monday puts me in <br />conflict with an essential business meeting. In the past, I was able to attend this business <br />meeting, leaving early and also attend Council. The discussion changing the Council meeting to <br />7:00 took hold near the end of November and mid-December. At that final December Council <br />meeting, it really was not apparent to me that it was a done deal. I did speak with Council <br />President Saponaro and I appreciate his conversation and advised him of my conflict at that <br /> <br /> <br />
