Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, February 19, 2018 <br />Page 22 <br />Council President Saponaro asked, discussion? <br />There was none. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Approved <br />? First Reading of Ordinance No. 2018-07, entitled, "An Emergency Ordinance creating <br />certain positions and compensation related thereto for the Village's 2018 Suiiuner Camp <br />program." Introduced by Mayor Bodnar and Council as a Whole. (Recreation <br />Department) <br />Council President Saponaro asked, this is on First Read, we will move it to Second Read, <br />correct? <br />Mr. McAvinew replied, we need this passed on emergency to secure the staffing for both this <br />ordinance and the following ordinance. <br />Dr. Parker; seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council <br />requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />ROI,L CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Dr. Parker, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2018-07. <br />Council President Saponaro asked, discussion? <br />There was none. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None _ <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />Council President Saponaro stated, for the audience, we are required as a Council to make sure <br />that all of our Ordinances and Resolutions are on three readings. That means they are read at <br />three Council meetings before we would vote on them. In certain situations, we cannot do that <br />because of a timing issue which is what we are facing here. We have to do a suspension, we vote <br />on that, then we have to vote on the ordinance and there's a discussion in between. Just to let <br />you know some of the things we are doing here. <br />? -. <br /> <br />
