COYNE

Again; to the members of Council and community at large, this is a public hearing so this
is an oppoi-tunity for the community to hear firsthand from the applicant and Council as it
relates to this zoning change. This zoning change requires as a proposecl zoning change .
that tliere be the tluee readings but there also is required before firial passage tliat there be
a public hearing which is what this ineeting is for. If Council on June 18"' votes to
approve this measure, it would go on the. ballot oii November 6'h of this year so it would.
require an approval of the voters of the Village of Mayfield.
The ordinaiice itself changes the use classification from U-1 which is a single-family
residential classification which is in the Code. It has some specific standard zoning
guidelines in it. Tlie site could accominodate 12-13 residential units under the existing
zoning code.
The proposed use is under a zoning classification that was approved by Council in 2006
called a Plaiined Resideniial Development District. This zoning category has a host of
regulations and guidelines that govern the devel.opment of this resideiltial development.
