Any clarification, no one is going to read the Minutes, no one is going to look at ` anything. No one is going to. see the ordinance; what is says and whether we.vote yes or rio for it is an endorsement or ari objection to it. I think people made that clear. We have to be able to reword this: . . . Mayor Bodnar asked, can we change.. it #o say.. an ordinance placing on tlie ballot the issue of revising the zoning.rriap, etc? Would that work? Council President Saponaro stated; and I would say placing on the ballot for the electorate. Mr: ,Coyne stated; ari -ordinance to be placed on the. ballot, that's the only language you . would , need, to revise the zoning map of Mayfield Village. And so we're clear on this.; once that's dorie,. let's say Council does that, Council members, their hands are not tied: If you warit to support it or be against it simply let the vofers decide,. you have that. right. . You all. have that right. I have seen in commuriities ordinances being placed on the ballot. Council is opposed to it but they want -to give the voters their due process xight to weigh in • on it. Just so you kriow. If you. do choose to vote for it; it doesn't rriean you're endorsing it. You can make that decision as the election approaches.. Council President Saponaro stated, so it would read an ordinance to be placed on the ballot revisirig..the zone map of Mayfield Village so as to amend the use classification of 6.93 acres of land and known as Permanent Parcels, 'and then it goes "on from there. I rieed everyone on Council.to weigh in on this. What's everyone's thougfits on this? - Mayor Bodnar statied, urider Robert's Rules; I think you are going to have to vote on it because there's already been a motion to pass as is; so you have to deal witfi that somehow. - You can vote on it and vote it down or l don't know if it cari be withdrawn.
