Doug do you want to talk about this?
Mr. Metzung stated, this is the Agreement with the Solid Waste Management District. We ratify
their plan that they have to come up with every 5 years. They have to have 60% of the
communities plus the largest community to ratify it which is the City of Cleveland. Should they
not get the ratification, the State of Ohio will step in and write the program for them.
Council President Saponaro stated, okay. But this has nothing to do with the recycling aspect of
it?
Mr. Metzung replied, no. It's just the County outlining their plan for maintaining House Bill
125.
Council President Saponaro stated, thank you for the clarification. Does anyone have any
questions?
There were none.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Resolution Adopted
• Resolution No. 2019-13, entitled, "An emergency resolution authorizing Mayfield
Village to take all actions necessary to accept Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council
(NOPEC) 2019 Energized Community Grant(s) Funds."
