Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council
Monday, February 25, 2019
Page 9 q ,
Council President Saponaro asked, what date is the agreement, to be clear?
Mr. Wynne replied, we signed the agreement on December 8, 2010. Once they purchased the
solar panels, installed them and they were up and running, then the lease kicked in. We started
on May 1, 2012.
Council President Saponaro stated, thank you. Does anyone have any questions regarding this?
There were none.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Expenditure Authorized
Motion to authorize the Mayor and President of Council to enter into a 60-month
lease with Neopost USA for digital mailing system, including equipment
maintenance, rate change protection, installation and training at $419.34 a month.
(Finance Department)
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to authorize the Mayor and President of
Council to enter into a 60 month lease with Neopost USA for digital mailing system, including
? equipment maintenance, rate change protection, installation and training at $419.34 a month.
(Finance Department)
Council President Saponaro asked, discussion?
Mr. Wynne stated, again on this, the lease for the current equipment expires on March 19, 2019.
This is State contract pricing. We looked at the option to enter into a new lease or buy out the
existing equipment. The cost to buy out the existing equipment plus the maintenance contracts
on it over a 60-month timeframe ended up being $4,400 more than the cost of the new lease so
we decided to go with the new equipment. The price of $419.34 a month is $11.47 more per
month than what we were currently paying for the current equipment.
Council President Saponaro asked, does anyone have any questions regarding this?
There were none.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Expenditure Authorized
. 1Vlotion to acknowledge receipt of financial reports for January 2019 and to approve
of same as submitted.
