ORDINANCE No. 2020-22 <br />Page Two <br />SECTION 3. By authority of this Ordinance, the Board of Elections is authorized and <br />IL directed to remove from the ballot for the electors of Mayfield Village, at the November 3, 2020 <br />election the following question: <br />SHALL THE SALARIES OF THE MAYOR, COUNCIL PRESIDENT AND <br />COUNCIL MEMBERS BE FIXED AT: $50,000 PER ANNUM AND <br />HEALTH BENEFITS FOR THE MAYOR; $12,100 PER ANNUM FOR THE <br />COUNCIL PRESIDENT; AND $11,000 PER ANNUM FOR THE MEMBERS <br />OF COUNCIL, COMMENCING JANUARY 1, 2021? <br />YES <br />NO <br />SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place <br />in meeting open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 5. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately <br />necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio because it <br />provides for time sensitive action in order to comply with Ohio law.
