Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, April 15, 2019 <br />Page 8 <br />cleaned up. High school students from the Interact Group helped the seniors with their <br />cellphones, iPhones and iPads on April 10th. The next CPA Lunch n' Movie is on May <br />Stn at 12. The cost is $5. Reservations must be made the week before. The May Lunch <br />& Movie at Governor's Village is on May 15th at 12:30. The cost is $5. Reservations <br />must be made the week before by calling Senior Services. The next trip will be on April <br />17th for a tour of the Lake County Historical Society, lunch (on our own) at Rider's Inn, <br />and a tour of the Bennett VanCuren Historical House. The May trip is on May 31 to <br />Hartville. We will shop, have lunch (on our own), and tour Chocolate Creations where <br />we will make our own candy bar. Free Lunch n' Learns will be held April 24th, May 1St <br />and 3,d. Sponsors provide lunch and hold a special program. <br />Committee Reports: <br />Citizens Advisory Committee (Patsy Mills): Citizen's Advisory met on March 25tH <br />Shane McAvinew provided a report on the Grove, including the history as well as the <br />2019 summer line-up at the Grove and at the Gazebo. The next meeting is on Monday, <br />April 291h at 6:30 p.m. prior to the Town Hall meeting at 7:00 p.m. <br />Special Reports: <br />Arbor Day — Mrs. Mills reported that Arbor Day is scheduled for Friday, April 26th at <br />9:00 a.m. at the rear of Center School. Please park at the Community Room. Students <br />from Center Elementary School will participate in the program that will include <br />comments by Mayor Bodnar, Center School Principal Katharine Rateno and Urban <br />Forester Frank Stupczy. Everyone is invited. Each student is given a sapling to plant at <br />their homes. Come and join us. <br />A member of the audience asked to speak on 2019-06, 2019-07 and 2019-08. Council President <br />Saponaro stated that while Council allows audience participation only during Open Portion, the <br />member of the audience could come to the podium and speak. <br />Larry Harrison <br />6613 SOM Court <br />Mr. Harrison expressed his thoughts about the above -referenced ordinances. More and more <br />cities are moving to this type of ordinance. <br />Chief Matias stated, it is presently a secondary offense. The referenced legislation will make it a <br />primary offense in Mayfield Village. Many municipalities have passed the same legislation. <br />
