The Senior
Fair is this week. I wish everybody would come because it's really a nice affair. The
Homecoming Dance is the end of October. Our Appreciation Dinner is the end of October. We
had a very very good informative meeting. We talked about the Walk and Stroll. The snow
plow applications are due October 7th so if you haven't sent in your money for snowplowing, get
busy and do that. The next meeting for the Commission is scheduled for October 28th at 7:00
p.m. at the Bennet VanCurren Historical House.
Council President Saponaro stated, thank you, Mrs. Mills, any other reports?
Mr. Williams reported, earlier this summer, the Union Cemetery Committee met. That
Committee consists of representatives from Highland Heights and Mayfield Heights. I represent
Council for Mayfield Village. It was the first meeting in a while. In your packets were the
Minutes from that meeting. If there's any questions or comments, let me know. With the help of
Mrs. Betsa, the Committee filed a Grant with the Ohio Department of Commerce for driveway
maintenance repairs in the Cemetery. We were just awarded the grant for $1,000 from the
Department of Commerce.
Council President Saponaro stated, excellent.
Mr. Williams stated, we will be working with the Service Department to improve the driveway at
the Union Cemetery.
Council President Saponaro stated, very good. Thank you Mr. Williams. Job well done, Mrs.
Betsa. Thank you. Any other questions on that?
There were none.
Council President Saponaro asked, any other reports?
There were none.
OLD BUSINESS
• Third Reading of Ordinance No. 2019-15, entitled, "An Ordinance amending Codified
Ordinance Section 131.10 relating to food and beverage purchases for meetings and
fundraisers."
