Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council
Tuesday, January 21, 2020
Page 14
I have read the December 17`x', 2019 Minutes posted on the Village website. You can see the
confusion in the questions and answers. The Board members saw my point clearly; Chairman
Syracuse's first statement below hits the nail on the head.
Chairman Syracuse said, I'm not seeing either one of these. It comes down to the permit does say
"optional enclosed for weather and appearance".
Mr. Marrelli said, my only issue is and we talked about this, there's going to be copycats and I
don't know how I'm going to handle it.
Mr. Prcela asked, what happens if this second item of the variance request gets denied, from a
practical standpoint?
Mr. Marrelli replied, this could be modified to be compliant or you could take it to Council.
Mr. Prcela said, I don't think there's any solution for this one.
Mr. Marrelli asked, you're trying to sell the house, right?
Russell Previte replied, no.
Mr. Marrelli said, I thought you were getting it ready to sell.
Russell Previte said, in fact, we've made the commitment to stay here because of my wife's
condition.
Mr. Marrelli said, when you came in, you said you're working on the house to sell it.
Russell Previte replied, it could be John. — I was kind of lost at that time. We came up to take
care of my Mom — I'm sidetracking here a little bit --
Mr. Marrelli said, that could be an out, if you sell, it goes away.
Mr. Michalko asked, you're talking about the garbage can structure?
Mr. Marrelli replied, yes.
Mr. Marrelli's comment on line three of the above minutes is worth reading again as are the last
three comments of the above minutes.
Mr. Marrelli is suggesting that the shed just go away. I am not going to call it a shed because it
isn't. This enclosure is very practical, works well, serves to block our neighbors' bathroom from
our sight and our bathroom for their sight. It is painted with three coats of paint to match the
house and is permitted according to the plot plan and drawing submitted to the building
department at time of construction.
