ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carried NAYS: None Minutes of July 15, 2020 Meeting Approved as Written Comments from Mayor Bodnar Thank you Council President. Tonight, I have the honor of presenting a Resolution to honor and thank one of our longest standing employees, Donna Heath. Donna, it's going to be very sad to see you go because over your 40 years here you have done so much for Mayfield Village. You have really become a part of the fabric of our community. We will miss you greatly. But we are also happy because we know that you've earned your retirement and we know that now you are going to have some more time to spend on having fun and doing the things you want to do and even though we don't know exactly what you're going to do in your retirement, we do know that by virtue of your position here, you are going to know what all the options are and how to do what you want to do. So then let me read this Resolution. • Resolution No. 2020-40, entitled, "A Resolution thanking Donna Heath for over 40 years of dedicated service to Mayfield Village and congratulating her on her retirement." Introduced by Mayor Bodnar (Administration) WHEREAS, on July 20, 1980, Donna Heath was hired by then -Mayor Robert Beebe; and WHEREAS, for the next 25 years, Donna Heath served various administrations as Assistant to Mayor Fred Carmen, Mayor Blasd Pietrafese, and Mayor Bruce Rinker; and WHEREAS, during those years, Donna Heath also served as the Clerk of Council, assisting the many different Council members elected to office, earning her designation as a Certified Municipal Clerk, and becoming a member and President of the Western Reserve Municipal Clerks Association; and WHEREAS, in 1987, former Finance Director Dan Patrick nominated Donna for recognition during a meeting with State Auditors commending her for the high quality of work and management of the records maintained by the Clerk. He stated, "This is an example of a Village employee demonstrating on a day-to-day, week -to -week basis, a dedicated performance that continues to reflect highly on the Village and its employees to other outside parties"; and WHEREAS, Mayfield Village had very few full-time employees during the 1980s and Donna filled a variety of roles, planning and overseeing the Village's special events, including
