Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council Monday, December 20, 2021 Page 2 Special Council Meeting — December 6, 2021 Mr. Williams, seconded by Mr. Meyers, made a motion to approve the Minutes of the Special Council Meeting of December 6, 2021. Council President Schutt asked, any discussion? There was none. ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carried NAYS: None Minutes of December 6, 2021 ABSTAIN: Marquardt Meeting Approved as Written Comments from Mayor Bodnar Thank you, Council President. I've got several things on my list tonight. Since this is our last meeting of the year, I just want to begin by wishing everyone who celebrates Christmas a very Merry Christmas and to everyone here a Happy New Year. I think I said this last year, but I hope next year is better than this year. Please be well. Please be as resilient as you can to stay healthy around your friends and family to celebrate this Christmas. Sometimes, around any time of the year, but even around the holidays especially, it's hard to see the good and count our blessings if lots of things aren't going right or it is tense at this time of year, but sometimes when we are counting our blessings, we just have to look right in front of us. We are going to do that tonight. We have two of our dispatchers here with us tonight, Janae Jones and Lisa Lesner. If you could please stand up for a moment. Lisa and Janae were involved in a situation where they were both working dispatch on October 29`x' and took a phone call and through their actions, they really did save a life. I have written letters of commendation to both of you. The first paragraph of each letter is distinct because it details what each of you did and then the last two paragraphs are the same. Letters of Commendation o Dispatcher Lisa Lesner o Dispatcher Janae Jones Mayor Bodnar read the Letters of Commendation to Dispatcher Lisa Lesner and Dispatcher Janae Jones, a copy of which are attached to these Minutes as a part of the permanent record. Mayor Bodnar presented the letters to Lisa and Janae. Mayor Bodnar continued, a couple of other things on my list. I know that there are some congratulations in order to Councilman Murphy, but I think Council President will handle that this evening.
