Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council
Monday, September 20, 2021
Page 3
I just want people to be safe. I will be honest with you. A lot of it is residents or the residents' kids
flying through the development. When I am out with the dog or stroller, I get dramatic and jump over
on the grass to make them see they are going too fast. I am not sure which group it would be, but
hopefully maybe you will consider it. They are very sharp and classy and I like the green. Thank you.
Council President Schutt stated, thank you, Mrs. Murphy. Does anyone else have any comments?
There were none.
Department Head Reports:
Anthony Coyne (Law) — I have no report this evening, but if Council has questions concerning
the new Ordinance concerning the handheld traffic law enforcement devices and the related Master
Services Agreement, I can discuss those at the appropriate time.
Council President Schutt stated, thank you, Mr. Coyne.
Danielle Echt (Parks & Recreation)
Parks and Recreation — Cruise Night really was a great night. We had a good crowd. We
had great weather. There were a lot of cars. The volunteers were outstanding. I think most
of Council was there to volunteer. The Rec Board volunteered. There were a whole bunch
of volunteers. It really was a great night where we all came together and made it happen.
It wasn't just the Recreation Department. We had Police there, Fire, Service, all of the
support from everyone, not just the Recreation Department. Thank you very much
everyone for the support for being there. I also wanted to report that we collected $1,128.23
for a donation to Hillcrest Meals on Wheels. Thank you.
Senior Services — We have 167 participants who have opted in for the Senior Snow
Removal Program. The deadline is September 27`". As of now, we only have 3 who have
opted out. That deadline is December 31 Sc
Ms. Echt stated, thank you.
Council President Schutt stated, thank you, Ms. Echt.
Chief Matias (Police Department) — I have no report. I have a few things on the agenda that I
will comment on if necessary when they come up.
Council President Schutt stated, thank you Chief.
