Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, July 19, 2021 <br />Page 5 <br />In 1987, the Mayfield Township Historical Museum leased the property from the Village <br />and moved the Bennett-VanCurren House from Wilson Mills and SOM Center Roads. <br />Mr. Mc Knight has met with Recreation and residents who use the area and presented a <br />concept plan of Wiley Park improvements. <br />Remove overhead electric wires from SOM Center to Service Garage, place <br />underground. Add ornamental light posts in area. <br />Enhance landscaping along north side (residential) along fence, Play Ground, and <br />Bocce Court. Add benches. <br />Remove Shuffle Board Court grass for a grilling and cooking area. <br />Update playground equipment. <br />Walkways from the parking lot to the Playground, Bocce Court and from Pavilion to <br />Public Lavatory. Add a walking bridge over stream. <br />Update 3 bay garage used for storage of equipment by Recreation, Historical Society <br />and Garden Club. Supplies stored are used for upkeep of the area. <br />Shed needs painting, electrical work, and repair of the overhead doors. <br />Pavilion has had many requests for weather screening of the perimeter of the building, <br />painting and better lighting. <br />Mrs. Mills stated, that's the end of my report. Can you add anything Steve since you were <br />there? <br />Council President Schutt stated, I think you covered everything Councilwoman Mills. Thank <br />you for that report. <br />Mrs. Mills stated, I have asked Mrs. Betsa to attach the concept drawing we received to these <br />Minutes. Shane was very explicit saying that this is only a concept. This is not a final drawing. <br />Thank you. <br />Council President Schutt stated, thank you, Mrs. Mills. Thank you as well, Mrs. Echt. <br />Chief Paul Matias (Police Department) — I would like to amplify the Mayor's comments. Ken <br />Mott served as an Auxiliary Police Mechanic on our Department for 44 years. He was one of the <br />nicest men I have ever met. We are definitely going to miss him. <br />Council President Schutt stated, thank you, Chief. <br />
