Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council Monday, July 19, 2021 Page 5 In 1987, the Mayfield Township Historical Museum leased the property from the Village and moved the Bennett-VanCurren House from Wilson Mills and SOM Center Roads. Mr. Mc Knight has met with Recreation and residents who use the area and presented a concept plan of Wiley Park improvements. Remove overhead electric wires from SOM Center to Service Garage, place underground. Add ornamental light posts in area. Enhance landscaping along north side (residential) along fence, Play Ground, and Bocce Court. Add benches. Remove Shuffle Board Court grass for a grilling and cooking area. Update playground equipment. Walkways from the parking lot to the Playground, Bocce Court and from Pavilion to Public Lavatory. Add a walking bridge over stream. Update 3 bay garage used for storage of equipment by Recreation, Historical Society and Garden Club. Supplies stored are used for upkeep of the area. Shed needs painting, electrical work, and repair of the overhead doors. Pavilion has had many requests for weather screening of the perimeter of the building, painting and better lighting. Mrs. Mills stated, that's the end of my report. Can you add anything Steve since you were there? Council President Schutt stated, I think you covered everything Councilwoman Mills. Thank you for that report. Mrs. Mills stated, I have asked Mrs. Betsa to attach the concept drawing we received to these Minutes. Shane was very explicit saying that this is only a concept. Chief Paul Matias (Police Department) — I would like to amplify the Mayor's comments. Ken Mott served as an Auxiliary Police Mechanic on our Department for 44 years. He was one of the nicest men I have ever met. We are definitely going to miss him. Council President Schutt stated, thank you, Chief.
