Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, April 19, 2021 <br />Page 5 <br />Motion to confirm and approve the appointment of Scott Sipos as Mayfield Village <br />Service Director <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to confirm and approve the appointment <br />of Scott Sipos as Mayfield Village Service Director. <br />Council President Schutt asked, discussion? <br />There was none. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carried <br />NAYS: None Appointment of Scott Sipos <br />as Service Director Confirmed <br />Mayor Bodnar stated, thank you. And now, Scott, it is my honor and privilege to swear you in as <br />our new Service Director. Before I do that, I just want to say that I am very confident in you and <br />I know that you will carry the torch and continue to set the gold standard. This is the truth - I <br />received a message from a friend of mine today who had walked on the Greenway Trail today and <br />was very complimentary on how well it was maintained and how lovely it looked along there. So <br />I look forward to working with you and I hope you will be with us for a long time. So, if you will <br />now please raise your right hand and repeat after me. <br />Mayor Bodnar administered the oath to Scott Sipos as Service Director for Mayfield Village, Ohio. <br />Mayor Bodnar stated, congratulations Scott and welcome aboard. <br />Mr. Sipos stated, thank you. This is a great opportunity Mayor Bodnar. I look forward to working <br />with you. <br />Mayor Bodnar stated congratulations and thank you. I look forward to working with you as well. <br />Mayor Bodnar stated, okay, I need to sip my coffee because I am up again. It's time for the annual <br />State of the Village address. <br />STATE OF THE VILLAGE <br />The Mayfield Village Charter provides that, every April, the Mayor must <br />prepare an annual "State of the Village" report that advises Council and the <br />citizens of the Village of the finances and administrative activities of the <br />Village during the past year and that may be occurring in the coming year. <br />Last year at this time, we were looking at a very uncertain future. Aside from our first responders, <br />most Village staff were working from home to limit the number of employees in our facilities at <br />any one time. All of our meetings, programs and special events were cancelled. We were doing <br />
