Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council
Monday, September 19, 2022
Page 8
Comments from Mayor Bodnar
Thank you, Council President. I will try and be brief. I just wanted to say thank you to Shane
McAvinew and our Rec staff, to Scott Sipos and our Service staff and all of our First Responders
for a safe outdoor entertainment season at the Grove and at the Gazebo. Now that it's over, it's
like summer is over. It's a little bit hard to swallow. I look forward to next year. Also I wanted
to relay to Scott that I was at the Hanover Woods picnic yesterday and I received many
compliments on the way that the Greenway Trail was being maintained. Thank you for taking
care of that for us. That's all I have for tonight.
Council President Schutt stated, thank you Mayor Bodnar.
Comments From Council President Schutt
I would just like to mention that Council Caucus is on Monday, October 3`d at 7:00 p.m. The next
Regular Meeting of Council is scheduled for October 17th at 7:00 p.m. And although it was
mentioned at Caucus earlier this month, I just wanted to say Happy Birthday again to Mr. Ron
Wynne and Councilwoman Jen Jurcisek. Both of their birthdays are tomorrow.
Mr. Wynne and Mrs. Jurcisek said, thank you.
Open Portion — For Public Comment (5 -minute limit)
There were no comments.
Department Head Reports:
Diane Wolgamuth (Administration) — Thank you Council President. I am just reporting on
Citizen's Advisory who met last Tuesday. Diane Calla came to the meeting and talked about our
ADA transition plan that the Village is currently working on. We also talked about the upcoming
ballot issues on the November ballot and reviewed some informational material that is going to go
out to residents. The next meeting is September 26th at 7:00 p.m. Thank you.
Council President Schutt stated, thank you, Ms. Wolgamuth.
Daniel Russell (Building) — Thank you, Council President. I will be reporting on the past Planning
and Zoning workshop and ARB meetings we have had the past few weeks. On August 25th ARB
met and we had three proposals. The first was an addition to Center Elementary School. The
second was an addition to the Innovation Center and the third was an addition to Yours Truly
Restaurant. Center School was approved at that meeting. The Innovation Center was denied
because they needed a little more information. Yours Truly was tabled for additional information.
On September 8th, they had two proposals, the Innovation Center came back and the changes were
approved.
