r� <br />11 <br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />December 19, 2022 <br />Page 2 <br />Special Council Meeting — December 5, 2022 <br />Mrs. Jurcisek, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to approve the minutes of the Special <br />Meeting of Council of December 5, 2022 as written. <br />Council President Schutt asked, any discussion? <br />There was none. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carries <br />NAYS: None Minutes of December 5, 2022 <br />Meeting Approved as Written <br />Comments from Mayor Bodnar <br />Thank you, Council President. Tonight I would like to just begin by wishing everyone a Happy <br />and Safe Holiday this year so Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah and Happy New Year to all. <br />Tonight we have the privilege of recognizing and honoring not one, but two faithful and <br />dedicated members of our police force. Tonight we are honoring Officer Cross and our K-9 <br />Officer Leo. Thank you for your service. I introduced a Resolution for Council, so I will turn it <br />over to Council President Schutt. <br />Council President Schutt stated, thank you, Mayor Bodnar. <br />• First Reading of Resolution 2022-55, entitled, "An emergency resolution recognizing <br />the retirement of Officer Christopher Cross and K-9 Officer Leo from the Mayfield <br />Village Police Department and entrusting Leo's care to his police partner, Christopher <br />Cross." Introduced by Mayor Bodnar. (Administration) <br />Mrs. Jurcisek, seconded by Mr. Meyers, made a motion to suspend Resolution No. <br />2022-55. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carries <br />NAYS: None Resolution Suspended <br />Council President Schutt asked, any discussion? <br />Mrs. Jurcisek stated, I don't know if this is the right time or not, but I just wanted to <br />thank you Officer Cross and K-9 Leo for all of your years of service to the Village and <br />to this community and the impact you have made on everyone. Thank you. <br />Mr. Meyers asked, is there any way we can talk you out of it? <br />
