Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />December 19, 2022 <br />Page 4 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF <br />MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />The Village accepts the well-deserved retirement of Officer Christopher <br />Cross and K-9 Officer Leo effective December 31, 2022 and entrusts the <br />future care, control and custody of K9 Officer Leo to his long-time Police <br />partner, Officer Christopher Cross. We wish them both continued health <br />and happiness, and many long walks together. <br />Council President Schutt stated, thank you, Mayor Bodnar. <br />Mr. Murphy, seconded by Mrs. Jurcisek, made a motion to enact Resolution No. 2022- <br />55. <br />Council President Schutt asked, discussion? <br />There was none. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carries <br />Resolution Adopted <br />Council President Schutt stated, Resolution 2022-55 is approved. <br />Mayor Bodnar stated, congratulations. If you would come up here, I would like to present you <br />with the Resolution. We will need it back to get all our signatures on it. We would like to you to <br />come up and say thank you and everyone can congratulate you. <br />Mayor Bodnar stated, tonight we are honoring a second member of our staff who is leaving us at <br />the end of this year. Sean Supler is our Program and Facilities Manager in the Recreation <br />Department and while Sean is not retiring, he's far too young for that, he has been with us and <br />served Mayfield Village for 17 years and he will be moving on to take on the position of <br />Recreation Director in Concord Township. I have a Proclamation thanking Sean which I will <br />read into the record now. <br />PROCLAMATION THANKING PARKS & RECREATION EMPLOYEE <br />SEAN SUPLER FOR 17 YEARS OF DEDICATED <br />SERVICE TO MAYFIELD VILLAGE <br />WHEREAS, on August 22, 2005, Sean Supler was hired by then -Recreation Director <br />Bill Thomas as the Village's first Youth/Adult Sports Coordinator. Sean had recently graduated <br />from college and that summer began his full-time career in Mayfield Village; and <br />C9 <br />
