ORDINANCE NO. 2023-18 <br />Page 15 <br />h) Employees with 15 to 18 years of employment as of January 1, 2011, shall freeze at their <br />current level of vacation hours until their 19' year of employment when their vacation will be <br />increased to 200 hours. Employees with 19 or more years of employment as of January 1, 2011 <br />shall freeze at their current level of vacation for the duration of their employment with the <br />Municipality. <br />i) The head of each department shall determine the schedule of vacations for the employees <br />thereof. <br />j) "Year of Employment" as used in this Section pertaining to vacation schedules means <br />years of employment with the Municipality only. Subject to the discretion of the Mayor and <br />Council, an employee's prior years of public or private service may be counted as years of <br />employment for the purpose of computing vacation time herein. <br />153.16 LONGEVITY <br />a) "Years of service" shall be defined as the total number of twelve (12) month periods of <br />service completed on or before December 31 st of each year.
