ORDINANCE 2023-20 <br />PAGE 2 <br />SECTION 5. The assessment against each lot or parcel of land shall be payable in cash or <br />by check within thirty (30) days after the passage of this Ordinance in the office of the Village's <br />Finance Director, with the further provision that all assessments thereof remaining unpaid at the <br />expiration of the said thirty (30) days shall be certified by the Clerk of Council to the County Fiscal <br />Officer to be placed on the next available tax duplicate and collected in four (4) semi-annual <br />installments with interest at the same rate of 4.00 percent. <br />SECTION 6. A certified copy of this Ordinance shall be provided to the County Fiscal <br />Officer by the Clerk of Council within twenty (20) days after its passage. <br />SECTION 7. Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating <br />to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in <br />meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 8. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately <br />necessary for the preservation of health, safety, and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, <br />Ohio, for the reason that it is necessary to levy the within assessments immediately and forthwith. <br />It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the affirmative vote of not less than <br />five (5) members elected to Council and approved by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time <br />allowed by law. <br />STEPHEN SCHUTT, Council President <br />First Reading: December M 1 202' <br />Second Reading: January 22 , 20A <br />Third Reading: Suspended 202� <br />January 22 <br />PASSED: , 202N <br />iA44t-� 6*7�� <br />BRENDA T.
