Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, April 15, 2024 <br />Page 17 <br />Council President Schutt asked, any discussion? <br />There was none. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carries <br />Resolution Adopted <br />Council President Schutt stated, Resolution 2024-23 passes. <br />• First Reading of Resolution No. 2024-24, entitled, "An emergency resolution confirming <br />the appointment of Angie S. Rich, CPA as the Director of Finance for Mayfield Village, <br />Ohio and establishing the terms, conditions and compensation effective May 1, 2024 <br />through December 31, 2025." Introduced by Mayor Bodnar (Law Department) (Requires <br />suspension of the rules tonight and upon passage this legislation will take effect <br />immediately upon signature of the Mayor.) <br />Mr. Murphy, seconded by Mrs. Jurcisek, made a motion to suspend Resolution No. 2024-24. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carries <br />NAYS: None Resolution Suspended <br />Mr. Murphy, seconded by Mrs. Jurcisek, made a motion to enact Resolution No. 2024-24. <br />Council President Schutt asked, any discussion? <br />Mr. Meyers asked, how does the compensation work? Who comes up with that? The wage <br />ordinance? <br />Mayor Bodnar replied, we look at the range and we also determine based on qualifications and <br />experience. <br />Mr. Meyers asked, is there a starting rate? <br />Mr. Wynne replied, the wage ordinance that Council passes for every position has a range with a <br />low and a high. For every position we hire, like the Mayor said, we look at the qualifications and <br />experience of that individual to determine where in that range you want to make the offer. The <br />offer is always within the range that Council has already approved. <br />Mr. Meyers stated, okay. <br />Council President Schutt asked, any other discussion? <br />
