Mayfield Village's ability to replace the roof of the salt dome in a timely manner has been severely compromised. The high cost of
lacing the roof is the main barrier to executing this project for Mayfield Village. Preliminary estimates start at $99,000, making the Chloride Reduction
nt an excellent opportunity to act now to replace the dome roof. Mayfield Village is prepared to fund the remaining balance for the replacement roof
r receiving the grant award.
ie Service Department has stored deicing salt in this dome since acquiring the property from ODOT in 2013. Mayfield Village fully intends to continue
anaging their salt program from this location into the foreseeable future. Replacing the roof of the salt dome would ensure its structural integrity and
tended functionality (with respect to controlling deicing discharge) for decades to come.
H2Ohio Rivers Chloride Reduction Grant
Page 4 of 7 12/8/2023
t—`- Environmental H2Ohio Rivers Chloride Reduction Grant
0 Protection Organization: Village of Mayfield
,.,, Agency
