Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council
Monday, June 17, 2024
Page 2
to Shane and the Rec Department for a wonderful start to the Grove season last Thursday night
with an ELO cover band. It was just a perfect night all around. Thank you for that. Looking
forward to more this summer. Kudos to the Boy Scout Troops. They had a great flag retirement
ceremony Friday evening at the fire pit near the First Responder's Memorial. Finally, we had the
Baseball Art Exhibit and Friday night we had a little opening with the artist coming to talk to us
from Woodstock, New York. Those are very nice. I want to thank the Recreation Department
and all the people involved in these events.
Next, in just a few minutes I have the honor of administering the oath of office to our new
Assistant Fire Chief/Fire Marshall, Jeff Federico.
