Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council
Monday, December 16, 2024
Page 10
There were none.
Shane McAvinew (Parks and Recreation) — Thank you Council President. I do have a couple
of items to speak of. Just a reminder that the opt out section of the snowplow program generally
is due by the end of this month. If you have any residents in your Ward give them a reminder to
get their paperwork in by the first of the year. Secondly, I want to thank each department, Police,
Fire, Service for all the help they gave us for the holiday events, especially the float the second
day. Without the combination of every department, it wouldn't be possible. It was a long full day.
We enjoyed it very much. Special thanks to Santa. It's probably the coldest day he has
experienced on and off the float. We also discovered that the younger people on the float are more
much agile than we are these days. Thank you for that. I would also like to thank George. I
appreciate all the conversations we have in my office and the openness you have had. I always
like to say, it's not goodbye, it's I'll see you later, so, I'll see you later hopefully down the road.
Lastly, it's the holiday week, so I would like to wish everyone a happy holiday. Whatever you
guys celebrate, enjoy it with family and friends. We'll see everyone in the new year. Thank you.
Council President Schutt stated, thank you, Mr. McAvinew. Are there any questions or comments?
There were none.
Council President Schutt asked, are there any other Department Head reports this evening?
There were none.
OLD BUSINESS
• Third Reading of Ordinance No. 2024-17 , entitled, "An Ordinance appropriating funds
for current expenses and expenditures of Mayfield Village, Ohio for the period from
January 1, 2024 and ending December 31, 2024 and declaring an emergency." Introduced
by Mayor Bodnar. (Finance Department) (Read in title only- October 21, 2024;
November 18, 2024) (Upon Third Reading and passage, this legislation will take effect
immediately upon signature of the Mayor.)
Mrs. Jurcisek, seconded by Mr. Meyers, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2024-17.
Council President Schutt asked, discussion?
There was none.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carried
NAYS: None Ordinance Enacted
Council President Schutt stated, Ordinance 2024-17 passes.
