Steve? - First Reading of Resolution 2024-66, entitled, "A Resolution of Appreciation to Mayfield Village Ward 4 Council member George Williams." Introduced by Mayor Bodnar and Council as a Whole." Mr. Marquardt, seconded by Mrs. Jurcisek, made a motion to suspend Resolution 2024-66. George, I appreciate our conversations at Panera, first in Highland Heights and then more recently in Mayfield Heights. It was by chance we ran into each other when we first talked about this. A RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION TO MAYFIELD VILLAGE WARD 4 COUNCIL MEMBER GEORGE WILLIAMS WHEREAS, George Williams and his wife Loretta have lived in Mayfield Village's Worton Park neighborhood for over 20 years and, in 2014, became members of the Mayfield Village Citizens Advisory Committee; and WHEREAS, in 2015, George Williams was selected from a pool of candidates by the members of Council to be the Council Representative for Ward 4 to complete the term of the outgoing Ward 4 Council representative; and WHEREAS, in 2017, and again in 2021, George Williams was re-elected by Ward 4 residents to represent them; and WHEREAS, George Williams continued to be active on the Citizens Advisory Committee, acting as the Council Representative assigned to the Committee.
