Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, December 16, 2024 <br />Page 3 <br />Mayor Bodnar stated, at this point, I would like to ask Council President Steve Schutt to come up <br />to ask Council to vote on the Resolution of Appreciation. Steve? <br />- First Reading of Resolution 2024-66, entitled, "A Resolution of Appreciation to Mayfield Village <br />Ward 4 Council member George Williams." Introduced by Mayor Bodnar and Council as a Whole." <br />Mr. Marquardt, seconded by Mrs. Jurcisek, made a motion to suspend Resolution 2024-66. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carries <br />NAYS: None Resolution Suspended <br />Mr. Murphy, seconded by Mrs. Jurcisek, made a motion to enact Resolution 2024-66. <br />Council President Schutt asked, any discussion? <br />There was none. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carries <br />NAYS: None Resolution passes <br />Council President Schutt stated, Resolution 2024-66 passes. George, I appreciate our <br />conversations at Panera, first in Highland Heights and then more recently in Mayfield Heights. It <br />was by chance we ran into each other when we first talked about this. Council President Schutt <br />read Resolution 2024-66 into the record. <br />A RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION TO <br />MAYFIELD VILLAGE WARD 4 COUNCIL MEMBER <br />GEORGE WILLIAMS <br />WHEREAS, George Williams and his wife Loretta have lived in Mayfield Village's Worton Park <br />neighborhood for over 20 years and, in 2014, became members of the Mayfield Village Citizens <br />Advisory Committee; and <br />WHEREAS, in 2015, George Williams was selected from a pool of candidates by the members of Council <br />to be the Council Representative for Ward 4 to complete the term of the outgoing Ward 4 Council <br />representative; and <br />WHEREAS, in 2017, and again in 2021, George Williams was re-elected by Ward 4 residents to represent <br />them; and <br />WHEREAS, George Williams continued to be active on the Citizens Advisory Committee, acting as the <br />Council Representative assigned to the Committee. In addition, he served on a variety of other Council <br />
