Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, February 17, 2025 <br />Page 11 <br />Mr. Meyers asked, on this billing system, do the residents of the Village get billed if there is an <br />ambulance run? <br />Chief Carcioppolo replied, their insurance will pay for it. <br />Mr. Meyers asked, if they don't have insurance, they don't get billed? Do they go after them? <br />Ms. Calta replied, no. <br />Chief Carcioppolo replied, they don't go after the residents. <br />Mr. Meyers replied, okay. What if someone is driving through and gets into an accident and don't <br />have insurance. What happens then? <br />Chief Carcioppolo replied, they get billed. If they don't pay, it goes to the Attorney General's <br />office and they garnish their taxes. <br />Mr. Meyers asked, so we don't end up paying at the end of the day basically? <br />Chief Carcioppolo stated, no. <br />Mr. Meyers stated, thank you. <br />Council President Schutt asked, any other questions or discussion? <br />There was none. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carries <br />NAYS: None Resolution Adopted <br />Council President Schutt stated, Resolution 2025-11 passes. <br />• First Reading of Resolution No. 2025-12, entitled, "An emergency resolution <br />authorizing Mayfield Village to enter into a contract and expend funds to American <br />Fireworks Company in the amount of $20,000.00 for the 2025 Fourth of July Fireworks <br />Display." Introduced by Mayor Bodnar (Police). (Requires suspension of the rules <br />tonight and upon passage this legislation will take effect immediately upon signature of <br />the Mayor.) <br />Mr. Murphy, seconded by Mrs. Jurcisek, made a motion to suspend Resolution No. 2025-12. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carries <br />NAYS: None Resolution Suspended <br />
