Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council Monday, February 17, 2025 Page 3 University Hospitals with the support of the hospitals. We have 5 different sponsorship levels, Puppy Love which is $250, Good Dog which is $1,000, Big Dog, $2,500, Superpog, $5,000 and Top Dog $10,000. We chose to do this program with dogs because kids in hospitals don't like sitting in rooms by themselves. We thought having this would help get them through their lonely hospital days. If you have any questions, you can ask me now or at the end of the meeting. Mayor Bodnar asked, Peyton, how much does it cost to have one of these dogs in the hospital? Ms. Koballa replied, $30,000. We are trying to raise $200,000 for about 6 facility dogs through all the hospitals. Thank you. Mayor Bodnar stated, thank you for coming tonight. I am sure Mayfield Village will support you and I am sure all of us in this room support your cause. Thank you for coming. Council President Schutt stated, thank you Mayor Bodnar. John Michalko 6852 Wilson Mills What I am about to say is from 45 years of experience. What the Service Department has been doing this winter has been exceptional. I talked to neighbors. They can't be happier with the service. Frank, you've had some tough times this year, worse than the last 3 years. I know you are always relying on the weather forecasters which are very seldom right. You get your crews in on time and make sure everything is done. I personally had to go to North Royalton yesterday, it was after 10:00. When I got there, the main roads weren't even touched yet. By the time I left here, everything was cleared up. Great job. Your staff is the best we have. The neighbors wanted me to make sure you and Council and the Council President and Mayor knew about it. Thank you. Council President Schutt stated, thank you, John. Are there any other comments this evening? There were none. Department Head Reports: Diane Wolgamuth (Administration) — Thank you, Council President. Reporting for Citizen's Advisory Committee, the group is meeting on Monday, February 24`h at the Fire Department. On the agenda is Fire Lieutenant Matt Martin who will be speaking to us about training courses available to the community. That's all I have. Thank you.
