ORDINANCE NO. 81-55 (As Amended) <br />INTRODUCED BYe Mayor & Council as a Whole <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE <br />N0. 81-21, REPEALING EXISTING SECTION 2 OF <br />SAID ORDINANCE AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THATt <br />Section 1. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 81-21 is hereby <br />amended to read as follows <br />Section 2. UNIFORM ALLOWANCE AND MAINTENANCE <br />(a) Uniform items for Police Department employees <br />shall conform to the specifications required by the <br />Department°s Manual of Rules and Regulations, subject <br />to the approval of the Chief of Police. All items <br />purchased by the municipality shall be and remain <br />the property of Mayfield Village, Ohio. <br />(b) The municipality shall purchase for each <br />newly employed full-time police officer having <br />arrest powers all items listed on "Schedule A°', <br />attached hereto. Each newly employed full-time <br />member of the Fire Department shall be reimbursed <br />for the costs of uniforms purchased by that member <br />for use in the member°s employment in an amount <br />not exceeding the sum of Four Hundred Dollars <br />($400.00). Each newly employed full-time member <br />of the Police Department not having arrest powers <br />shall be reimbursed for the costs of uniforms <br />for use in that member's employment in an amount <br />not exceeding the sum of Three Hundred Dollars <br />($300.00). There shall be no uniform allowance during <br />the first year of employment for any of the above- <br />mentioned employeeso <br />(c) Annually thereafter each full-time officer <br />of the Police Department having arrest powers and <br />all members of the Fire Department shall receive <br />a uniform allowance in the amount of Three Hundred <br />Dollars ($300.00) per year. Annually thereafter each <br />full-time member of the Police-Department not having <br />arrest powers shall receive a uniform allowance in the <br />amount of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($.250.00). The <br />amounts stated for uniform allowance herein may also <br />be used for uniform maintenance by the employee. <br />
