ORDINANCE NO. 80-4 INTRODUCED BY: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 79-93 AND CREATING A UNIFORM ALLOWANCE AND MAINTENANCE FOR MEMBERS OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. BE IT .ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: Section 1. Section 2~of Ordinance 79-93 is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 2. Uniform Allowance and Maintenance (a) Each newly employed male member of the Police and Fire Departments shall be reimbursed for the cost of uniforms purchased by him for use in his employment in an amount not exceeding Four Hundred Dollars ($400.00). Each newly employed female member of the Police and Fire Departments shall be reimbursed for the cost of uniforms purchased by her for the use in her employment in an amount not exceeding Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00). (b) Annually thereafter each male member of the Police and Fire Departments shall be reimbursed far uniforms purchased in an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) per year and each female member shall be reimbursed for uniforms purchased in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) per year. The uniform allowance may also be used for uniform maintennace. (c) The Finance Director is hereby authorized to reimburse all members of the Police and Fire Department for expenditures made in accordance with Sections 3(a) and (b) provided, however, that receipted bills evidencing the purchase are submitted together with an approval for payment by the Chief of the respective Department. The Finance Director is further authorized to make such distributions during January and July of each year for the prior six month period.
