ORDINANCE NO. 80-4 <br />INTRODUCED BY: <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 79-93 <br />AND CREATING A UNIFORM ALLOWANCE AND <br />MAINTENANCE FOR MEMBERS OF THE FIRE <br />DEPARTMENT. <br />BE IT .ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. Section 2~of Ordinance 79-93 is hereby amended <br />to read as follows: <br />Section 2. Uniform Allowance and Maintenance <br />(a) Each newly employed male member of the <br />Police and Fire Departments shall be reimbursed <br />for the cost of uniforms purchased by him for <br />use in his employment in an amount not exceeding <br />Four Hundred Dollars ($400.00). Each newly <br />employed female member of the Police and Fire <br />Departments shall be reimbursed for the cost of <br />uniforms purchased by her for the use in her <br />employment in an amount not exceeding Three <br />Hundred Dollars ($300.00). <br />(b) Annually thereafter each male member of <br />the Police and Fire Departments shall be reimbursed <br />far uniforms purchased in an amount not to exceed <br />Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) per year and each <br />female member shall be reimbursed for uniforms <br />purchased in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred <br />Fifty Dollars ($250.00) per year. The uniform <br />allowance may also be used for uniform maintennace. <br />(c) The Finance Director is hereby authorized <br />to reimburse all members of the Police and Fire <br />Department for expenditures made in accordance <br />with Sections 3(a) and (b) provided, however, <br />that receipted bills evidencing the purchase <br />are submitted together with an approval for payment <br />by the Chief of the respective Department. The <br />Finance Director is further authorized to make such <br />distributions during January and July of each year <br />for the prior six month period. <br />(d) Subparagraph (c) of this Ordinance shall be <br />effective <br />(e) Each police officer, excluding the Chief of <br />Police, shall be compensated in addition to the salary <br />schedule set forth in Section 1 for attendance required <br />
