ORDINANCE NO. 80-44 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Council as a Whole <br />AN EP~~IERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER <br />1505 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE AND ADOPTING THE OHIO BUILDING <br />OFFICIALS AND CODE ADMINISTRATOR FIRE CODE, <br />1978 EDITION, AND THE NATIONAL FIRE CODES, <br />1980 EDITION, VOLUMES ONE THROUGH SIXTEEN. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. Chapter 1505 of the Codified Ordinances of <br />Mayfield Village, Ohio is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />'CHAPTER '1505 <br />Fire Prevention Code <br />1505.01 FIRE PREVENTION CODE ADOPTED. <br />There is hereby adopted, and incorporated by reference, <br />as if fully rewritten herein, for the purpose of prescribing <br />minimum requirements and controls to safeguard life, property <br />or public welfare from the hazards of fire and explosion arising <br />from the storage, handling or use of substances, materials or <br />devices and from conditions hazardous to life, property or <br />public welfare in the use or occupancy of buildings, structures, <br />sheds, tents, lots or premises, the Building Officials and <br />Code Administrator Fire Code, (BOCA-BFPC), 1978 Edition, and <br />the National Fire Codes, (NFC), 1980 Edition, Volumes 1 through <br />16, both subject to the modifications contained herein and which <br />shall hereafter be collectively known as the"Fire Prevention <br />Code of Mayfield Village, Ohio." A complete copy of both the <br />foregoing Codes are now on file with the Fire Chief and the <br />Building Commissioner of Mayfield Village for inspection by the <br />public. <br />1505.03 DEFINITIONS. <br />Wherever the word "Municipality" is used in either the <br />BOCA-BFPC or the NFC it means "Mayfield Village, Ohio". <br />Whenever the term "Corporation Counsel" is used in either <br />the BOCA-BFPC or the NFC it means the "Law Director" of the <br />municipality. <br />
