ORDINANCE N0. 88- 26 <br />INTRODUCED BY: MAYOR CARMEN AND COUNCIL AS A WHOLE. <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />AAffi~IDING SECTION 1321.04 OF THE <br />CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, <br />PERTAINIldG TO THE REGIONAL DWELLING HOUSE CODE, <br />REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH <br />AND DECLARIAiG AN EI~RGENCY <br />WHEREAS, such Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio, had previously enacted <br />Ordinance No. 465 on April 19, 1954; and <br />WHEREAS, the aforementioned Ordinance enacted Section 1321.01 of the <br />Codified Ordinances of Mayfield Village, Ohio, adopting and incorporating by <br />reference the Regional Dwelling House Code prepared by the Regional Planning <br />Commission of Cuyahoga County, Ohio; and <br />WHEREAS, Council enacted and amended Section 1321.04 of the Codified <br />Ordinances of Mayfield Village, Ohio, that enumerated certain exceptions to <br />the Regional Dwelling House Code; and <br />WHEREAS, since that time, the Building Commissioner/Service Director has <br />recommended additional exceptions to the Regional Dwelling House Code for the <br />benefit of the citizens and businesses located within Mayfield Village, Ohio; <br />now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. Section 1321.04 of the Codified Ordinances of Mayfield <br />Village, Ohio, is hereby amended to add the following exceptions: <br />RDHC 1523.04 BACKFILL OVER FOOTING DRAINS. (Amended) <br />The backfill over footing drains shall be pervious <br />material classified as a grated washed gravel and shall <br />not be closer than 18 inches of the established surface <br />grade. The remaining 18 inches shall be filled with <br />suitable material to allow growth of grass and plant- <br />ings. If the surface adjacent to the foundation wall <br />is to be paved or have some similar treatment, then the <br />backfill near the top may be a suitable base for such <br />construction. <br />
